    3. The LDS did some extractions of the birth registers for the early years of the 1864+ Civil Registrations. My grandfather's siblings who were born between 1864 and 1876 in Cos Antrim & Louth are listed in the IGI with exact dates,location and parents names. My grandfather born 1878 in Co Antrim is not in the IGI. So, if you have an ancestor born in about the 1864 -1876 time frame, you might find them and parents listed in the IGI at www.familysearch.com . Look for notes at bottom of the IGI page that say the record was an extraction. Don't rely on records submitted by church members.
