    3. Hello List Members I have discovered an ancestor and his wife in PRONI Wills, so now I am able to search further. Their deaths occurred in 1910 and 1917. I am new to Northern Ireland research and would be most grateful if someone could tell me how to research in Crossgar or Crossgare and Downpatrick before those dates please? Many thanks from Moira in New Zealand.

    3. Crossgare is near Dromara in County Down and Crossgar is a village nearer ballynahinch in County Down. It could be either as spellings differ over the years. Because of the Downpatrick connection the village of Crossgar might be the best place to start. These years will bw covered by Civil Registration so it might be a good idea to get death certificates and follow up on who witnessed the death. http://www.groireland.ie/apply_for_a_cert.htm heers Ella -----Original Message----- From: nir-down-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:nir-down-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Moira Draper Sent: 10 December 2010 22:20 To: nir-down@rootsweb.com Subject: [NIR-DOWN] PRONI Hello List Members I have discovered an ancestor and his wife in PRONI Wills, so now I am able to search further.
