Hello from New Zealand I am researching the marriage of William MOFFET of County Down to Agnes WATSON I have discovered two sons William and James born in the 1840's [estimated] Although I am searching for James, it is his brother William's marriage I found- 26 November 1858 at St Matthew's Church of Ireland Scarva Aghaderg, William MOFFET OF Terryhoogan -Father William MOFFET, Mason - married Agnes O'NEILL (or NEILL) of Auglish - Father William O'NEILL, Shoemaker The Marriage Certificate does not include where their parents lived, although it would seem that the wedding would have been in Agnes' home town. Both William and his wife moved to Glasgow, where James MOFFAT, younger brother of William, was living around 1871. I am almost finished reading the film of births deaths and marriages in County Down and will be happy to check entries for you, and I would really appreciate any information further to the above.
