A couple of spam messages just came through the list. Please just ignore them. It's the newest spam version on the internet. I started seeing it just a couple of days ago when I got the same message from two personal friends. The good news is that it doesn't destroy the "sender's" email. I suppose this is technical a "spoof". I'm sure there will be more information later but it doesn't seem to be a hack - it's more like they intercepted a couple of emails and used the addresses. The site is a Canadian drug sale site. Perhaps the Canadians on the list could forward the message to the appropriate government agency. However - DO NOT BLOCK THE ADDRESS. It's a legit address of a subscriber. And sometimes when people put these things into their spam filters it blocks RootsWeb and makes all kinds of mess. There will undoubtedly be more of these messages. I've already seen them on 4 of the genealogy lists I subscribe to. Think of them as mosquitos. Just delete and move on. I'll let RootsWeb clean up the Archives. Diane in Seattle List Admin NIR-Down
