HI Nan Unfortunately, I don't know much about this Mark but I see he wasn't living in Aughnahoory in 1911 so he may have returned there after living elsewhere. With that in mind, I found a marriage for a Mark McCartin to a Catherine Rooney in 1891 on FREEBMD and on this website I found their marriage and 2 of their children, John and Margaret Teresa : http://www.liverpoolhistoryprojects.co.uk/liverpoolrcbaptisms/baptisms.php Unfortunately it doesn't give the exact date or the names of the father's of the bride and groom but I will keep looking. Not sure if steamship storekeeper is the same as stevedore though and they may not be the people you are looking for. I can't find a death for this Mark in England but I did find a death for his son Mark P J in the Wirral in 1944 - maybe Mark and Catherine moved back to Ireland after his retirement (if this is the right couple of course!) leaving their children behind.
