Member of Nativity court No 14 W.C.O.F. Notes: This family emigrated from Kilkeel Co Down. Charlotte was the daughter of Francis Higgins and Margaret McCartan. On the 1900 US Chicago Census she gave her birth as June 1851 Charlotte and her daughter Selina ( a teacher) were passengers on the US California that sailed from Londonderry on 29th of August 1908 to New York. They were returning to their Chicago home on 37th St. Charlotte gave 1869 as yr of arrival in the US on her 1900 census, husband James yr of arrival was 1867 likely visited family in Co Down although the passenger manifest is incomplete as to that detail.
