Irish Times Sat Dec 14 1912 Co Down Poisoning Case MARY RAVEY, who resided near Castlewellan, Co Down, and who was found guilty of having, on the 12th October, administered to John Campbell, her son-in-law, a quanity of strychnine, by putting it in a bottle of porter, which Campbell drank, was sentenced to five years penal servitude. The judge remarked that it was the prompt action of the doctors that saved Campbell's life.
