    3. Mike I lived near Hillsborough, for 30 years, but now in Australia. Henry Boyd delivered my parents six children, after that there was a Dr Boyd in between who had two sons Colin and a brother who was a wonderful young man and a great, caring doctor, but he died young. don't remember his christian name. I am 78 now and I think Colin would have been younger than I am and may be still alive. If he is he would probably still be living in the doctor's residence where all of the above lived. Hillsborough is a very small village and a letter addressed to Dr Boyd, Lisburn St, Hillsborough might just find him or a descendant. Too early, I think. There was one only McShane in your time frame and that was in Londonderry (again) and late 1840s, but not McCane/McCain bride. Good luck - you are back further than I am! Bev

And our John was from Donaghadee, so there is probably some connection somewhere. We had the name spelled Stevenson, Stephenson, and Stinson on the same page in the family bible.
