    3. I am looking into the Rogan family tree, I have found a will that my G Granddad was a witness, It is a Catherine Rogan from Guiness and in the will is John McMullan from Loughinisland and her niece Mary McMullan, also her sister Mary Reilly, the will is from 1891, and I also have a copy of the Loughinisland Graveyard headstone of McMullan and Mary Reilly was McMullan from Seavaghan and Catherine Rogan is buried in the McMullan Grave so I take it that she was McMullan, I think she may have married a Charles or Edward Rogan, does anyone know any more about Catherine?

When you get to the home page scroll to the bottom where there is a box of New Records at ancestry.ca. The Canadian Passenger lists 1865 to 1935 are listed. I did do a brief check and the closest I could find using soundex was Mahoney in 1920. Try the variations is spellings that you have. I believe the records are not yet complete. Is it possible that he entered Canada from the US? Good Luck. 2. Dr. B. A. Gordon
    3. I have further information re the Shortt family of the townland of Cabra, County Down since my postings of October 2008. Am hoping to find someone with genealogical or other information of this family. On Canadian Passenger Lists, 1865-1935 the following: James Shortt, 18 (birth about 1911), born Cabra, County Down, Northern Ireland, farm worker, landed immigrant. Port of departure Belfast, port of arrival Montreal Quebec 16 Aug 1929 on the Dutchess of Athol ship. His destination was stated as an uncle the Rev R. Magowan, 14th Avenue, Calgary, Alberta His father given as Mr. James Shortt, Greenhill, Cabra, Lisburn, Northern Ireland. By googling the name "Rev. R. Magowan Calgary" I found that his name was Robert Magowan and he was a Presbyterian minister in Calgary at the time of the church unions into the United Church of Canada. 3. Hi Andy, Thank you for more wonderful Irish pictures. When I looked at the photograph of Charles McCormick and his family, John McCormack the Speaker of the House (during Kennedy a few other presidents) came to mind immediately. I remember John McCormack because of the succession line after President Kennedy was assassinated . I have no idea where John McCormack's family came from but the resemblance between him and your Charles McCormick is striking. 3. Gentle listers, The maps of the Belfast area seem to have been very popular. I've posted a lot of pictures of old Belfast on my Flickr site. Yes, in the collection that displays you'll see a number of pictures of my family. But the majority of the pictures are of such things as: * Belfast during the blitz * 4 images of the old St. Anne's * A few postcard images of Belfast in the early 1900s * A remarkable picture of Little York St. in 1887 * An image from the two block-long Grove St. in Sailortown from about 1922 with British soldiers standing guard. http://www.flickr.com/photos/andyairriess/sets/72157604322031931/ I hope you enjoy the images There are also some nice images on this Flickr group page called Old Belfast and Northern Ireland: http://www.flickr.com/groups/oldbelfast/pool/ Andy Airriess
