    3. Hi Everyone, I am new to this list and would be more than grateful if some kind soul can help in my research. I am trying to trace any details of my old Fleet Air Arm Commanding Officer Lt/Cdr D.M.R. Wynne-Roberts, a pilot stationed at Eglinton, who died as a result of injuries sustained in a climbing accident at Magilligan Point 5th Oct 1949. I am told he is buried in Eglinton churchyard. Perhaps his obituary was printed in the local newspaper at the time, or maybe there is a headstone on his grave giving personal details. Any information would be gratefully received. Thanks,

    3. Lt/Cdr D.M.R. Wynne-Roberts is buried in St. Canices Church of Ireland churchyard in Eglinton. The inscription on his headstone reads "Lt. Commander (A) David Wynne-Roberts R.N. Beloved son of Reginald & Dorothy Wynne-Roberts Killed, October 1949 Aged 29 years Mente Manuque."
