Hi Seeking information on Woods or McGinnis. My mother was Margaret McGinnis, born Upperlands on September 2 1917. She had a twin brother William Robert and a sister Mary Anne (known as Marion) (born 1915). My grandmother was Margaret Jane Woods and my grandfather was John McGinnis. They were married in Mowillian on 13 April 1914. Margaret Jane was one of eight children, the others being Mary, Eliza, William Hamilton, Robert, Emma, Jim and John. Margaret Jane was the daughter of William Woods and Margaret Hutchinson. William was born in 1850 and died in 1906. His brothers and sisters included Agnes, Margaret, Hamilton, Thomas, James and Nancy. A number of the family came out to New Zealand in the mid 1880s and settled at Kumara on the West Coast.
