Sorry everyone sent the original message to the wrong address here it is again!! I was wondering if anyone had come accross any of this family during their own searches. Robert Duddy b abt 1798 Limavady His son Matthew b abt 1824 Banagher, Limavady Matthew married Eliza Jane Hawthorn (b abt 1839) in Limavady in 1859 and they had 4 children Hugh Matthew Martha and Thomas. I have never found a wife or indeed parents for Robert. I only know that Eliza's father is Thomas Hawthorn and I have no mother for her either. Hoping that this jogs someone's memory Regards Margaret --------------------------------- Yahoo! Plus - For a better Internet experience
I know this won't be any help finding your Duddys from the 1800's,but when I was first married,I lived near Claudy Co Derry . Our next door neighbours were Bairds and one of them was married to a ??Duddy who lived just across the glen from us.I'm fairly certain there are still members of the family in the area.Limavady is about 10 miles from Claudy and Banagher is about 6 miles from Claudy and about 2 miles from Dungiven. Another coincidence - my grandparents were William John and Elizabeth Mc Dowell !!
