    2. Thank you for the information on "bread server" , I thought it was a "waiter". Makes sense. Years ago in Wisconsin (U.S.), we had the Omar man, and numerous other "house to house" deliveries" . Those were great days, we even had a farmer, who came into the city, to sell "fresh eggs". With progress you get computers and lose the "delivery persons" Lois W.

We had a Breadman,Milkman,Fruit and Vegie man,a Fish man,a "brock" man,[he collected food scraps - brock - to feed his pigs] and a rag and bone man, who gave you a clay pipe for a bundle of rags[Elderly people used them to smoke tobacca.They only cost a penny,were made of white unglazed clay and didn't last long.but at a penny a time were easily replaced.]We used them to blow bubbles !!
