    2. Hello, I am new to this mailing list. I have researching my Canning family. I was wondering if anyone else is reachering this family too? My gr gr gr gr gr grandmother Frances Canning (married George Tisdall), was born around 1700. She was the daughter of a George Canning, Esq. (he may have also held the title of Lt. Col.) He was from Garvagh. This is all I know. I know he is connected to the family of the PM George Canning, but I have no idea who Frances' mother was, or her exact birthday. Any ideas as to where I can write or contact about birth information from the early 1700's? Thank you, Lisa

    3. Dear Lisa, I have a CANNING connection. My grandfather was John Canning CORSCADEN, born Londonderry 1849. I understand he was named as his mother's sister Margaret [nee GALLAGHER] was married to Rev John CANNING [died Malin 1877] I would be interested to compare notes if you recognise this couple Mary Mary Herbert [email protected] snail mail to "Slimbridge" Bedgerebong NSW 2871 -------Original Message------- From: [email protected] Date: Thursday, 20 March 2003 02:58:34 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Derry] Canning Hello, I am new to this mailing list.
