Dear List, I am trying to locate where in County Derry my grandfather James Paul was born and who his father was. His mother was Margaret McConnell. James was born in 1816 and there were two known sisters; Rebecca born in 1819 and Catherine born in 1824. James came to America in 1836, either with the 2 sisters or sent for them later. Family lore says there were two brothers, Robert and George who remained in Ireland. James said he was born in Derry but we don't know if he meant the town or the county.
