Hello, I had some problems signing on to the list, but I think I have it straightened out. I sent this e-mail request a few days ago and I'm not sure if it was received by the list. My grandmother, Mary Bailey, was born in December 1884. She lived in the Townland of Rathfad which is approximately 3 miles to the north of the town of Limavady. She lived with her sister, Hessey Bailey, and her mother, Ann Bailey. All three immigrated to Philadelphia in 1907. Ann Bailey, my great grandmother, was born in 1851 and grew up in the Townland of Ballybrissell. Both these Townlands are in the parish of Aghanloo. I think the Townlands of Ballybrissell and Rathfad were close to each other. Would anyone know the name of the Roman Catholic church they would have attended back in 1851-1884? Would anyone know the name of the school they would have attended? My great-great grandparents, John Bailey and Sarah McIntire were married February 10, 1841. They both lived in the Townland of Ballybrissell. Would anyone know the name of the Catholic Church in 1841 where folks from this Townland would have attended? Thank you very much for your help!
