    3. Hi Kathy, Thanks a lot, I had no idea what the abbreviations meant. This is the first time I've got an Irish marriage certificate and I was hoping it would confirm the names of James and Catherine's mothers - McGonnigle and McClusky - which I had got from James and Catherine's death certificates in Scotland but no luck there.
