I have no interest in the McKeefry family or Sheila McCauley at the present time, since I have not found any McKeefrys or McCauleys in my Diamond - Mceldowney - O'Kane ancestors, of County Derry. They came to the United Stares in 1826, so it is hard to find living relatives who go back that far. My wife and I made several trips to County Derry with special emphasis on St. John's Catholic Church at Granaghan, Parish of Killelagh, County Derry, Northern Ireland/ While there we visited the cemetery and I have a record of persons buried in the cemetery up[ to 1988. Probably some other person asked me for a record of the McKeefrys buried in the cemetery, and I replied to their query. According to my records there are 28 McKeefrys buried in the cemetery. There are two named Patrick as follows: Patrick McKeefry 1912 Section 14B In loving memory of Annie McKeefsry who died 13th May 1908, Aged 87 Years Also her husband Patrick McKeefry died 8th April, 1912, Aged 87 Years Also heir son Joseph McKeefry died 18th June 1926 Aged 32 Years R.I.P. Erected by family. Patrick McKeefry 1867 Section 24G In memory of Patrick McKeefry wh o died 30th Sepstember 1867 Aged 85 Years. Also of Elizabeth, his wife who died 23rd March 1847 Aged 71 Years. Also of John McKeefry his son who died 14th August 1889 Aged 66 Years. There are two persons named James McKeefry in my records: James McKeefry 1979 Section 58I In loving memory of James McKeefry died 27th August 1975 Aged 60 Years McKeefry James McKeefry 1893 Sectioon 23E Erected by John McKeefry, Swatragh, in loving memory of his father John McKeefry died 8th January 1914. etc Also his brother, James died 10 March 1893. etc.. In my records there are 6 persons named Hegarty buried in the cemetery: Andrew Hegarty 1970 Section 38I Mary Hegarty 1970 38I Nancy Hegarty 1881 2B Rose Hegarty 1879 2B Sarah Jane Hegarty 1970 38I Hegarty 41E I have the name O' Loughlin in my research, but have not made any connection to my family. My great aunt, Anna J. Noone, of Kingston, New York (1861 - 1931) left the following bequest in her will: To Miss Martha Mulholland of Gortanure, County of Derry,I reland, the sum of Three thousand Dollars ($3000).
