    3. Hi Dave Yes, we probably have communicated before, anytime I see a McGonigal posting I always reply hoping for a link to Ireland for my McGonigals and Coyles Rose McGonigal ? I've seen that in my research somewhere, tell me more about her if you can. It's interesting how these names are coming together, maybe we'll find a connection later. I have something in common with your gr.grandfather,I married an Irish girl,Frances McGarvey from Ramelton in Donegal. Wish I could link to your Coyles but I haven't found Sarah Coyles death in Glasgow yet.Still looking ! I have Hugh McGonigals death Cert but there are no parents listed, all my hopes of tracing his birth in Ireland went down the drain with that discovery. Cheers Frank McGonigal Ont.Canada. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, April 05, 2003 9:55 AM Subject: Re: [Derry] Re: MCGONIGAL > Hello Frank > I think we may have been in contact before. 2. Hello Frank I think we may have been in contact before. I saw a posting from "Phyllis" who mentioned she was searching this name. I have been searching other sides of my family and was just thinking about getting back to to the Irish links. My great grandfather Hamilton Smith from Glendermott, Derry came to Glasgow and on arrival 1873 married an Irish girl from Donegal Mary Loughrey / Loughran. Her father was Cornelius Loughrey b Donegal about 1835 and his wife was Rose McGonigal. I have got nowhere with this line. I noticed you mentioned Coyle. When my grt grandparents married in Anderston, Glasgow their place of residence was with an Irish couple Manus Coyle and Helen Coyle who acted as witnesses at their R.C. wedding. Dve Smith. 1. [Derry] John & Sarah BLAIR
    2. On a trip to Ireland I found the following gravestone in Dundalk, Co Louth, at the St Nicholas Church of Ireland graveyard: “John Blair - late officer of the Irish revenue a native of N.T. Limavady and for 20 years an inhabitant of Dundalk where he died Aug 3rd 1852 aged 71 years Sarah, widow of the above John Blair who died in Dundalk 17th Feb 1866 aged 78 years” I suspect, but don't know for sure, that John Blair was a relative of my ancestor, William Henry Percival, who lived in Dundalk in the early 1800's. If anyone has a Blair family in the Newtown Limavady area of Co Londonderry, please let me know. Thanks, Colleen

    1. [Derry] Waterford estate , Aghanloo parish near Limavady
    2. Rachel
    3. I have traced my husband's DYSART family in various townlands in Aghanloo, Tullyarmon, Dirtagh, Stradreagh, Drumalief and Artikelly. They were Presbyterian and mostly used Derramore church. The farms were leased from the Earls of Waterford ( de la Poer family). I have spent many hours in PRONI looking for estate records - the most helpful lot I found was when the estate was broken up and sold around 1885 following the Land Acts. There was a box of deeds referring to a map of the estate - needless to say the map was not with the deeds. I would love to find records earlier than this . Has anyone had any success in finding early estate records for this area? I can hope! Rachel Dysart
