My grandmother Ellen Smith (born 1891 in Portadown) was the daughter of Joseph John Smith (born 1855 Ireland) and Elizabeth Sargeant (born 1857 Ireland). Elizabeth's parents were Thomas Sargeant and Sarah Obre ... we have no other info about Eliza's parents. Eliza and Joseph had 9 children and all emigrated to the US (Manchester, CT) in the very early 20th century (1900-1907). Could these be the same families?
