I know that McParland and Lynch are from Armagh and McAteer is verified Newry area. All appeared to have left Ireland circa 1867. McParland ended up in Massachusetts while McCort and McAteer were in NYC. McAteer ended up in Paterson, NJ. One Paterson Bridgett (mother was McAteer) adopted by a Lappin family. I'm not sure of the family connections yet, but all names are connected. Hopefully this strikes a chord with your research.
