Greetings, I am new to the list and to County Armagh research. I have just found that my husband’s ancestor, Daniel MILNE, was born abt 1811 in County Armagh. This info comes from the 1871 census of Scotland where he was living at Bonhill, Dunbartonshire. He married Margaret LEARMONTH in Edinburgh 3 March 1835. Daniel and Margaret MILNE had 5 sons – Francis (my husband’s gg-grandfather) 1838, James 1840, John 1842, George 1846 and Robert 1849. All I know about Daniel is that he was a shoemaker.
