He was discharged in 1814 at the age of 38. Since he received a pension his records including service record, attestation papers and (sometimes) record of punishments, and (on occasion) information on wife and children, postings and place of discharge can be found at the PRO in Kew, WO 97/1137. There were a few John Campbells discharged from the 11th RV so you need to be careful that you get the right one. Four companies of the 11th RV were discharged in August 1814 at Hythe and three companies discharged later in 1814 at Chelsea. Sometimes these records will indicate where the soldier plans to reside following discharge. Good luck and let me know how you make out.
