Were you looking for the Canadian Irwin's. I have a John Loftus Irwin 1814 -1861 married a Mary Ann 1824-1907 he was the son of Richard Irwin. John Loftus Irwin (also)Irvine, I have done some analysis of Richard Irwin's children. John Loftus is 10 years older than his nearest sibling, and his middle name is a surname. During the War between Napoleon and England there were camp following families and single men in the Regiment would marry and take care of women & children of fallen comrades. I am still trying to locate the Chaplin records for the 28th a foot to see if there was a Loftus who was Killed In Action. But in any regards John Loftus had 4 boys and 2 girls. One of the boys named John William Irvine or Irwin born abt 1850. As you can see Richard and his family moved to Lobo Canada, is that were your Halls moved to>? I will follow up with my mother to see if she has more info on the Halls. Where did the Halls mov! e to in Canada? Was he in the British Army?
