    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: Nicola564 Surnames: JENNINGS Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.ireland.arm.general/9321.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am researching the Jennings families of County Down and County Armagh - that triangle between Armagh, Newry and Dundalk. My family came from Newry, and I have traced them back to a Charles Jennings c. 1750 in Killevy. I am also researching the family of Patrick Alfred Jennings (Premier of NSW) who came from Newry. Patrick's grandfather/greatgrandfather was Robert Jennings who I believe may have been a Flaxgrower and I have found a reference to him in the National Archives which suggests he could have been Flemish in origin. The names Robert, Patrick, John,Mary and Margaret all appear in his family, like yours. My recurring family names are Daniel, Andrew and Charles. Both families were Catholics. I have never come across any reference to Derlett or Mountnorris before so I am very interested! Researching my family has been quite difficult, and I have lots of random notes, so I will have a look to see if I have anything more of use to you, and come back to you with it,but I wouldn't be too hopeful! best wishes, Nicola Jennings Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
