Hi Could someone who has access to genealogy.com do a look-up please on the Tithe Applotment Books of 1823-1838 records, or alternatively tell me where I go to actually confirm that the database is available. I have looked at their site but cannot find a full list of all ltheir databases. Thanks Garry New Zealand
Gary, I don't know what is available for borrowing, but the following link will give you an idea as to the databases available at the Family History Library (LDS in Salt Lake City) and their size: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/fhlcatalog/ supermainframeset.asp?display=titlefilmnotes&columns=*%2C0% 2C0&titleno=319193&disp=Tithe+applotment+books+and+indexes%2C+fo++ [You may have to copy the link into your browser window, omitting any spaces or carriage returns.] There is also FHL BRITISH Film 1279330 Item 21: County Armagh freeholders lists, 1830-1839 [which presumably can be borrowed at local Family History Centers you can locate in New Zealand at http:// www.familysearch.org ]. Besides this source, maybe someone on the list here would look up a surname for you at PRONI in Belfast.
