My Wilson's worked at the mills for awhile then went on to other things. Robert D. Wilson had a trucking company called RD Trucking. William J. Wilson moved to Oregon and became a sheep farmer, never married. Albert and Samuel both worked for the electric company for awhile. Christine, they called her Tiny, married William England and lived in East Hartford. I had met Albert, my grandfather's twin, once or twice but never any of the others. Never knew their descendants (cousins) at all. We are connected to the Swain family, also in Manchester. That comes from the connection of David and Alexander Wilson. I think I probably know a lot of the "old country" families growing up and just didn't know who they were. There was an old lady named McAdam that lived across the street from me and the Turkington's were good friends of my grandparents. All Portadown (or Armagh) people. My grandfather married Ellen Smith (Smyth). Her family was from Armagh. Her entire family emigrated to Manchester at the same time around 1907. Samuel and Albert were the last of the Wilson's to emigrate, also around 1907. His sister Tiny came in 1899 and I think Robert or William was already here.
