Hello Listers Just thought I'd re-post my interests in the hope new listers may be researching same. Mary Ann Elliot born about 1846, Armagh, Cty. Armagh parents Richard ELLIOT [farmer] & Mary COWBRAY, CARBURY with various spellings. I have found a birth in 1846 of a Mary Ann Elliot on Armagh Ancestry but have not followed this up as yet. Would there be church records as well? I have a immigration record of a Mary Ann Elliot who arrived in Victoria, Australia in 1870 on the ship "Percy" which sailed from Plymouth. This Mary Ann was a housemaid, R/C and was engaged by Geo. M. Bradshaw of St. Kilda, Victoria, Australia. However I have not been able to prove she is my great grandmother Mary Ann Elliot.
