In 1841 it didn't say what the relationship was in the census but in 1851 she was a widow. ----- Original Message ----- From: Brenda Pilson To: nir-armagh@rootsweb.com Sent: Wednesday, March 14, 2007 6:48 AM Subject: Re: [ARMAGH] (new)Rogers Hi, Because John was a mariner he was probably away at sea when the census was done. Does the census show Jane as widow? if not he was just at sea. John Rogers was a mariner. He and his wife Jane were in Liverpool 1833 when my gggreat grandfather was born in 1833. Their daughter Emily was born 1826ish in Ireland. I found a marriage record for a John Rogers and Jane Maines Armagh 1823. I was hoping someone could tell me where this was and if their would be a baptism for Emily? Jane is on the Liverpool 1841 census but john isn't found in any census in England. Any help would be appreciated.
