I have recently found a Patrick Hughes, that I believe to be connected to my family. I believe his brother was my ggrandfather. My ggrandfather, Henry Hughes, was born in Co. Louth. His siblings include a brother Patrick (born abt 1853) and sisters Bridget, Ellen and Ann (there may have been more siblings, also). Parents of these children were Peter Hughes and Ann Dooley. I have assumed that Peter was also from Co. Louth, however I have just learned that Ann was born in 'Northern Ireland'. Co. Louth borders Co. Armagh--so perhaps there is a connection.
