Hi i have discovered that my great grand father JOHN STEPHENS came from ARMAGH b1845 along with his brother HENRY STEPHENS b1823 were living in LIVERPOOL at the time of the 1881 cencus. >From his wedding certificate(JOHN'S married in LIVERPOOL) their father was GEORGE STEPHENS a FARMER, does anyone have any information on them or point me in the right direction to find out more about them. Hi Sid....................You might want to have a look at various directories that are available on Armagh (Bassett's from 1888 is good). There are many online websites with info. Hello Sid...........We corresponded recently about your Stephens family. I was reading a film on Armagh today at our local Family History Centre. There was a list of voters for 1851-2. These voters were listed by Barony. I noticed in the Barony of Upper Fews that there was a John Stevens (spelling isn't so important) listed as living in Crossmaglen.
