Sorry for the delay in responding. It's as good a place to start as any. Ballyanny is the parish of Mullaghbrack in County Armagh. If they were Church of Ireland, there are three churches to choose from. You can contact the minister at the Mullabrack Rectory: http://armagh.anglican.org/parish_details.asp?UnionGroupID=35 Is he the Joseph Hozack who shows up in England? 1891 English Census Birkenhead, Cheshire Hozack, Joseph, Head, married, age 58, stoker on steam ship, b. Co. Aramgh, Ireland Hozack, Elizabeth, Wife, age 48, grocer, b. Wales, Mold(?) Hozack, Robert, Son, single, age 18, railway engine cleaner, b. Birkenhead Hozack, John, son, single, age 14, chandler's assistant, b. Birkenhead Hozack, Emily Jane, daughter, age 3, b. Birkenhead Jones, Elizabeth, Servant, single, aged 19, b. Lancashire Dalston If so, you'll want to find his death registration and marriage registration (this is a second marriage for him). One or the other might give you his mother's name and a more exact place of birth.
