Hello Ann, Some McCANNS for you (I have posted this information before but just in case you missed it!) >From a Baptism of Patrick NEWS - Shankill Parish - 1861 - Roman Catholic - parents John NEWS & Ellen McCANN. One of the witnesses was Margaret McCANN (not your Margaret obviously). I am connected to the NEWS family so can't help any more with the McCANNS - the McCANNS in my tree emigrated to Australia from Newbridge, Co Kildare. All the best, Gail > I was under the impression that Armagh at one time was mostly McCann's. >> > Still searching for some McCann's born to Peter and Margaret McCann of > Newry, Armagh, Ireland Immigrating to the USA in 1853,
Thanks for the reply, My Margaret left in 1853, She was also a McCann, Both of my Great Grand Parents were McCann's so I relate on both sides, Don't have any idea who their siblings were. I do that that Margaret's Mother's name was Anne.
