    3. Peter, Have you got certified copies of all her children's birth certificates? Sometimes, on one or more of the children's birth certificates, the full place of birth of a parent (Anne Jane Gould) can be given. I have the same problem with my ancestor, Robert and his brother, John ROBERTS, both are listed as being born in Armagh, Ireland. Fortunately Robert married in Lurgan, Armagh in 1854 so it gives me a place to start. You should also check her death certificate if you don't already have that. If she lived through until the introduction of the Aged Pension, there may be some record there of her birth place. Good luck with your research. I know how frustrating it can sometimes be. She married in New South Wales in 1863. Her marriage certificate just states she was born in "Armagh" so I'm not sure if it was the City or the County. I would appreciate any help in tracing her.
