This is what I know and it is very sketchy. My grandmother Mary Minnie King was born in Armagh Ireland on or about 5 April 1897. Her father was Thomas King. She had a brother George King and a sister Elizabeth that married a Mr. Thompson. Mary fell in love with a soldier and had a son my father James King out of wedlock. I know there was a pension paid for my dads care. Unfortunately my father's, dad, John Neville died on 1 July 1916 in the first world war. He was apart of the Royal Irish Fusiliers 9th battalion. He was a Lance corporal Service number 14591. He is buried in the A.I.F. Burial Ground, Flers, Somme, France. I have had a friend and cousin to try and find some military records of him at the Kew that would enable me to get his parents names and siblings. Their is a medal record, catalog reference WO372/14 at the kew but apparently nothing else. Any ideas as what I can do next. barb Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
