    1. [ARMAGH] GRONI: Historical records

    3. Hello, all. Having visited the GRONI's web site at: http://www.groni.gov.uk/ index.htm ... the "Historical Records" section states that the office in Belfast holds registers of births and deaths from 1 January 1864 and of marriages from 1 January 1922. Marriage registers from 1 April 1845 are held at District Registrars' offices. What isn't clear is, do the historical records for the period 1845-1922 pertain to all 32 counties of Ireland or only to the six counties that now constitute Northern Ireland? Does one of the subscribers to NIR-ARMAGH know? I visited the office in 2003 and conducted searches there but, as my searches were confined to counties Armagh, Derry and Tyrone, I don't know the answer to this one. Thanks in advance, Alison Kilpatrick Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia GENUKI County Armagh http://www3.ns.sympatico.ca/acauston/genuki/ARM/index.html Ireland Old News http://www.irelandoldnews.com/Armagh/index.html
