Townlands and Occupiers Immediate Lessors, Description of Tenement, Area, Derrylard Thomas Simington, 47 from Earl of Charlemeont, houses, office and land, 3 acres, 2 roods, 35 perchs William Wilson, 48 from Earl of Charlemont, houses office and land, 3 acres, 2 roods and 25 perches Also 11 Jun 1851 William WILSON, full age, bachelor, farmer, Derryadd, Parish of Seagoe Thomas Wilson, farmer Ruth SIMINGTON, full age, widow, --, Darrylard William MACULAY, farmer Married in the Church of Milltown according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the United Church of England and Ireland by license, George Robinson William Wilson, Ruth Semington? William Wilson, John Harvey ) The Symington home was listed as Farm No. 47 in the townland of Derrylard, Armagh, N. Ireland. It was a duplex, common in those times, or more correctly one home converted into two. It consisted of a house, farm buildings and 3a 2r 20 p of land. In 1864 it was leased to Thomas Simington In 1897 it was leased to Representatives of Simingtons In 1902 Thomas Sullivan was in possession. It appears to have been in possession of Thomas and Mary Ann until after her death in 1896. In 1897 it passed to her representatives. Eventually it passed into ownership of the Sullivans. The other half of the house was referred to Farm No. 48 (for reference purposes) 1864 Widow Wilson leasing the house, offices and 3 a 2r 10 p of land. (Offices refer to farm buildings). 1869 George Simingon in possession (We think this is the son of Thomas and Mary Ann, based on his birth being abt. 1839). 1906James Simington in possess of the house and Moses Weatherup in possession of the land 1916 same arrangement.
