My family, Donaldsons and Wallaces, lived at Cloghog Lodge, Crossmaglen, in the early 1800s. A Wallace girl married a Donaldson boy and came to Canada in 1839 and 6 generations later I am learning about their lives. But I don't understand what a Lodge was, and couldn''t find it when I visited there in 2008. Were they in some kind of Inn? Were there several houses? Did several families just live together?
