    3. Hi Pauline -yes I think they were near Newry or very close to that general area -but the child thomas was 10 years old in 1911 a 'relative' -not theirs -born in Scotland and Scots records have only 3 possible options: check scots records for his parents #1 record Thomas James Keenan born 9th June 1899 at 45 Richard Street Anderston Glasgow son of Patrick james KEENAN and Isabella Boyd/Kerr (the records vary everything else matches) married april 1891 St Patrick's RC Anderston glasgow -on birth record father was dead bricklayer died 2nd June 1899-the actual record shows died may 1899 and he was a slater his parents James Keenan bricklayer deceaed & Mary Mulhern alive -may be a good reason to send the wee one over to family in Ireland if mum cannot cope with other kids -a classic situation. #2 A Thomas Keenan born April 1902 in Neilton RD paisley to Patrick Keenan and Annie Trougher both married 11th November 1901 Belfast-#3 Thomas Keenan born 9th August 1900 in Airdrie New Monklands to Thomas Keenan & Catherine Girvan m in Church of Scotland, Johnstone 30th April 1897 in Johnstone !! #4 Thomas Keenan b Coatbridge 28th August 1899 son of Patrick Keenan & Margaret Donnelly married 21st Feb 1898 Coatbridge I do not have access to 1901 census but that would be really helpful -even to see if the couple in 1911 have any more info that may be useful: 1911 Keenan Patrick Head 69 Married House No1 Carnagat Ballybot Co Armagh Co Down 1911 Keenan Maggie Wife 64 Married House No1 Carnagat Ballybot Co Armagh Co Monaghan I really appreciate any help you can offer thanks P On Mon, Mar 15, 2010 at 6:15 PM, Pauline Loughran < [email protected]> wrote: > Hi > Do you think they were around Newry in 1901?
