Sarah Jane died only a couple of months after arriving in Australia and Baby Robert passed away shortly after that. The information on son John Alexanders death certificate contrasts with his sibling Sarah Rachel who has her father as Isaac Alexander and another sibling Eliza Jane who has her father as William Alexander - hence the problem. These three were all under 8 when they were orphaned and placed into care so perhaps they never really knew. The older children who were at least 8 and 10 must have had some recollection but unfortunately both were loners and the only useful information on their death certificates is they believed they were born in Canada.
