But what I find most outstanding about your family is the name Foy, in relation to where they come from. Within a few hundred yards, certainly less than a mile, are townlands Foy Beg and Foy More. There is also a Foy Road and a Foy Lane. I would have thought that these were ancient Irish words for some sort of topography. Over Foy Road is Moy Beg, another townland. I think it would be interesting to consider where your family's name came from. By the way, in Griffiths, your family is spelt Flaville, and in the townland were George, Thomas and William.
