Hi Jean I will get back with the Clarke information in the next few days. McKee and McConnell are all Newtownhamilton names. I have some McConnell baptisms for NT'Hamilton 1st Presbyterian around the 1820's and 1830's, no Robert McConnell's there at that time. Popular names were John, Nevin, William and Alexander. Nevin McConnell is not a very common name so you may know if he is connected to your ancestors. Clark(e) appears to have been a very common name in the Armagh are during the early to mid nineteenth Century (clarkesbridge name testifies to this for instance). We have Clarkes who married in Newtownhamilton around 1844 and went to the US where a large family connection still exist in and around Ulster County new York State. It does seem that they went to Clarkes who emigrated to the same area earlier but we have no definitive proof of that. In addition we have been unable, so far, to link them to any of the Clarke family still living in the area.
