    3. To listers requring historical maps at no cost (besides bandwidth!): Go to the link below: http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml You will need to enter at least a surname and a county & enter. Then select "Show map in new window" for the selected record. The sliders at the top right allow you to see the modern map, the satellite image or a hybrid with the historical map superimposed. The zoom & scroll controls are at the top left. Zoom to any size you want. Anything from a whole County to an allotment! The scale is at the bottom left. Printing: If you use their printing option, only the historical map is printed, regardless of what you see on the screen & the image gets a bit scrambled. The solution is to use {Control/Print Screen} to copy the image to the Clipboard. Then open your Wordprocessor & paste with the page in Landscape. If you leave the screen scaling unchanged & play with the sliders at the top right, you can sequentially print the modern map, the historical map & the satellite image to successive pages. If the historical map is printed on paper & the other two on tranparencies, you will end up with a matching set of overlays. Good luck. It has worked well for me. Alan
