Dear Friends, My gg gm was Mary Mears, wife of Thomas Haydock, of Lowertown, Tyrone. The 1911 Census says she was born in Armagh, c1825. By another source, her parents were Mary and John Mears. Have not found very many Mears/Meers/Mear, etc. in Armagh. What few there are seem to be in the Craigavon area. Most numerous in Meath/West Meath; I have not searched this. Any body out there have a connection? Deborah McDonald, born c1767, probably Mullahead, Kilmore, Armagh, married, 1795, Anthony Haddock/Haydock. Very few McDonalds in Armagh, but a pretty good collection of McDonell in Kilmore. Any Connection? My Armagh Haydock/Haddock family descends from that of Stangmore, Tyrone family, and include, in Armagh, James, Anthony, and John or Jacob, in last half of Eighteenth Century. Any help apreciated.
