Hi All, I also have a GG grandmother called Eliza Clarke. She was born in Newry and married William Harding in Newry on June 8, 1851. Her father was James Clarke, a civil bill officer. There may be a connection down the geneology road, Geraldine --- On Tue, 5/24/11, gc-gateway@rootsweb.com <gc-gateway@rootsweb.com> wrote: From: gc-gateway@rootsweb.com <gc-gateway@rootsweb.com> Subject: Re: [ARMAGH] Co Armagh Emigration to USA To: NIR-ARMAGH-L@rootsweb.com Date: Tuesday, May 24, 2011, 8:51 AM This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Hello Jean, I know that she was born in 1833 but date unknown and place ,Newry. She married William Harding in 1851 and they lived most of their lives in Newry. I have the National School records for several of their children. She does not show up in the 1901 census but is showing up in the 1911 census. She is at the age of 77. William was a stone mason and so may have moved around just as his son Issac did and that would account for them not being in the 1901 census. But wherre were they??? Any help would be appreciated, Geraldine --- On Fri, 5/27/11, jean old <jeanallensassy@hotmail.com> wrote: From: jean old <jeanallensassy@hotmail.com> Subject: Re: [ARMAGH] Co Armagh Emigration to USA To: nir-armagh@rootsweb.com Date: Friday, May 27, 2011, 2:55 AM Hello Gerladine do you have any dates for your Clarke family Kind regards Jean Armagh
