So the William Black of 1 Fountain St and who was killed in the war was a different person. Interesting that the name "William Theophilus" was attached to more than one person at this time, presumably a common ancestor. Anyway, my gran's brother was "William Theophilus" but surname of Cowan. He was born c. 1910 and the family also lived on Fountain Street around this time.
