Where did they settle in USA? My wife's ancestors were Patrick Carroll, and wife, Mary McDonald, of "Carrollton", Ireland (county not known, maybe Fermanagh?), Roman Catholic, entered USA, New Orleans, before 1855, settled in Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia. Daughter, Catherine, married a Dougherty, lived in Fayetteville NC. Second daughter, born 1855, Augusta, married James Francis Magarahan, in Augusta. Two other children, Mary and Edward died young. Anything sound familiar?
