Fermanah is a county (no town of the same name) about 40 miles west of Armagh town in Co Armagh. I have a Robert COOKE, probably born c1820 who was married to Mary HIGGINSON in 1854 at St Mark's Armagh. He was a farmer. Known children were Margaret born 1855, Ellen Jane born c 1862, Alexander born c 1864 and Joseph (dob unknown). His widow Mary died 1903 in Newtonhamilton Co Armagh Brenda On 17 Jun 2011, at 15:47, gc-gateway@rootsweb.com wrote: > Does anyone know of a Cooke family in or near Fermanagh, c 1797?
