    3. Can you give some parameters for dates, say later 1800s or whatever? It would help me know where to look. Sharon Oddie Brown Roberts Creek, BC, Canada THE SILVER BOWL: http://www.user.dccnet.com/s.brown/index.html FAMILY TREE: http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=silverbowl ----- Original Message ----- From: "L M Friend" <lmfriend@slingshot.co.nz> To: <NIR-ARMAGH-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, February 27, 2007 1:39 PM Subject: [ARMAGH] William Lowry BURNS - Also DONALDSON & HART Families Does any lister have this person in their family tree please ? Having Lowry as a second christian name may indicate there has been a LOWRY connection with the family. William Lowry BURNS has siblings Annabella, Sarah Amy, Helen, Robert John, and Samuel Fraser but I have no idea of birth or death dates. His father was called Absolom BURNS and his mother was Anna Gordon DONALDSON. Anna Gordon DONALDSON was the daughter of Thomas DONALDSON and Annabella GORDON but, again, I have no dates. Anna Gordon DONALDSON had a brother Thomas William DONALDSON and a sister Sarah Jane DONALDSON. Sarah Jane DONALDSON married Charles HART and had Jacqueline HART and William HART. I would love to hear from anyone who has any of these people in their trees or their descendants. 1. [ARMAGH] churches in Armagh City in 1808
    2. Judy Mann
    3. Hello Everyone Could someone please tell me where I'd find out which specific churches existed in Armagh city in 1808? Thanks Judy Judy Mann <familytree97@yahoo.ca> wrote: John FOX is recorded on his daughter’s Scottish birth registration as being born in Armagh Northern Ireland in 1808. Looking at the other birth registrations on the page, they record the city where the parents are born so I can only “assume” in John’s case, this means Armagh City rather than the county. We don’t know exactly which religion John Fox was. He was married in a Roman Catholic church in 1849 in Edinburgh after the birth of his third child. The three children were baptized four days after the marriage. His wife, 18 years his junior was from a Catholic family and was baptised in the same church in Edinburgh. The younger children in the family were baptised in the Catholic church as they came along. I’m not sure if there was a former marriage and family involved as the reason for the couple not marrying until the third child arrived – speculation only. I’d appreciate being pointed in the correct direction, where to start looking for the birth of John FOX in Armagh to be able to find the names of his parents and siblings. Thank you Judy Mann Canada --------------------------------- The best gets better. See why everyone is raving about the All-new Yahoo! Mail.

    3. Hi folks, Please, please, when replying to a 'digest' don't just click on "Reply" - change the subject to a more relevant one. When the majority of us who are not subscribed in 'Digest' mode see the subject "NIR-ARMAGH Digest, Vol 2, Issue 55" it means absolutely nothing to us. Besides, by doing this you are playing havoc with my message filters. Take care, Dave
