    3. Thanks. Perhaps the later death registrations (after the turn of the century) might have more information, as in Ontario, where as time progressed, they gathered additional information. You might still be able to find a more exact place of birth. 1. [ARMAGH] BRADLEY; KENNEDY - DRUMCREE
    2. The Websters
    3. MARY BRADLEY married at Drumcree possibly on 18 Oct 1839 JOHN KENNEDY (source IGI Batch 8632330). I am hoping SKSs may have an interest in either of these names for Drumcree or Armagh. My interest is that their daughter, SARAH ANN KENNEDY, born in Sydney Australia on 13 Apr 1851 married (secondly) Frederick Webster and generations of their descendants have given boys the middle name of BRADLEY. It is not known when they emigrated to New South Wales as there were many immigrant couples by the names John and Mary Kennedy, but some time between 1839 and 1851. BRADLEY should be an easier name to research in Ireland. Can anyone help with knowledge of Bradleys in Armagh and surrounds? JOHN KENNEDY's occupation is given as "sawyer" on his daughter's 1851 birth certificate. Best wishes Bill Sydney

    3. Re. Message: 3 Date: Wed, 9 May 2007 21:08:31 GMT Dear Bruce, I am a subscriber to the nir-armagh-request@rootsweb forum and was interested to read your offer to Bart of a map showing townlands and parishes. I have found that my g.g.grandfather WILLIAM BENSON (c1827) is listed by LDS as having been born in "Armagh" and this is corroborated by the Glasgow census in 1881 where he obviously went for work (as a weaver) and declared all his children as having been born in "Armagh". (whether city or county not stated). His wife was named RACHEL Thanks to the marvellous people associated with this forum I have been remarkably successful in finding my family after WILLIAM but you will be aware of the problems with researching as far back as 1827 and I should be most grateful if it would be possible for you to also send me a copy of your map. I understand that my only hope of researching William's forebears is through parish records and I therefore need a list of all parishes in that part of Ireland around the early 1800s. Parish and other church names would be welcomed, if available. I know that by 1892 William attended a Wesleyan Methodist Church in Glasgow because his Bible is annotated thus, but that is a lifetime away from 1827 and his family could have belonged to any church in 1827.
